After starting the campaign against Bangladesh, India will face Oman. The team will then take on Oman and Pakistan on August 30 and Malaysia and Japan on August 31.
India will have to finish in the top three to make it to the 2024 FIH Hockey Fives World Cup. A total of 16 countries will participate in this global tournament next year. Emphasizing on the importance of competition, Indian Hockey Team Captain Mandeep Mor said, “The biggest dream for every sportsperson is to represent the country in the World Cup. It is an important tournament for us and we want to qualify directly for the 2024 FIH Hockey Fives World Cup so that we get a chance to play on the big stage.
