Indian cricketer’s coach consumed poison, accused of sexually abusing girls

New Delhi (Best Hindu News): These days many cases of sexual harassment have come to light in the sports world. After gymnastics, sailing and cycling, now cricket has also joined this list. Recently, there have been serious allegations against Narendra Shah, who runs a cricket academy in Dehradun and former coach of Indian women cricketer. Shah has been accused of sexually abusing girl students of his academy, making casteist taunts at them. The issue came to the fore when a girl leaked the audio of her telephonic conversation with coach Shah.
According to media reports, Shah exploited this 10th class girl several times. In the audio which has come to the fore, Shaan had obscene conversation with the girl and also asked for sexual favors. As soon as the audio went viral, coach Shah tried to commit suicide by consuming poison and is currently in the hospital.
Shah was immediately removed from his post in the Cricket Association of Dehardun. Although he is still the secretary of Chamoli District Cricket Association. The girl who leaked the audio is a resident of Chamoli. On Monday night, the father of the 15-year-old girl, who trains at the academy itself, lodged a complaint with the police station, following which a case was registered against Shah under the POCSO Act. A complaint has been filed against him under IPL sections 354-A (physical abuse) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
