We have prepared our strategy according to our strengths and the opposition teams. We are hopeful that this tournament will be good for us and we will achieve positive results. Our aim is to qualify for the Paris Olympics in 2024 and so we are well aware of how important this tournament is and what we have to do to achieve our goal. ,
The Indian women’s team includes goalkeepers Savita and Bichu Devi Kharibam. Deep Grace Ekka, Ishika Choudhary, Nikki Pradhan and Udita will man the defense while Sushila Chanu, Monica, Navneet Kaur, Neha, Nisha, Salima Tete, Sonika and Vaishnavi Vittal Phalke will man the middle line. The front row includes Deepika, Lalremsiami, Sangeeta Kumari and Vandana Kataria. Team vice-captain Deep Grace Ekka said, “Our team is a good mix of experience and youth. All the players are eager to give their best performance and are well prepared mentally to showcase their skills on the field. ,
After the opening match against Singapore, the Indian team will face Malaysia on September 29, Korea on October 1 and Hong Kong, China on October 3.
