The tablet market in India declined by 22 percent year-on-year in the April-June quarter, while it grew by 29 percent on a quarterly basis. Research company Cybermedia Research (CMR) gave this information in a report. Apple is at the top of the tablet market, while Samsung is slightly behind in second place. According to CMR’s Tablet PC market report, in the second quarter (April-June) of the calendar year 2023, the overall tablet market declined by 22 percent on an annual basis.
Tablet business for both Apple and Samsung grew by 6 percent in the quarter
According to the report, the business of 5G tablet registered a seven percent growth on an annual basis. At the same time, the business of WiFi tablet grew by 12 percent on an annual basis. Both Apple and Samsung’s tablet business grew by 6 percent in the quarter. However, Apple continued to lead with a 25.38 percent share, while Samsung came second with a market share of 25.31 percent. Despite Lenovo’s turnover falling 30 percent during this period, the company remained at the third position with 23 percent share.
