Inzamam-ul-Haq appointed chief selector of Pakistan cricket team

Lahore,, Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has been appointed as the chief selector by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
A major change has been made in the Pakistan cricket team before the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI World Cup. PCB has appointed Inzamam-ul-Haq as the chief selector of the Pakistan cricket team.
This will be Inzamam’s second stint as chief selector. He last served as the chief selector of the Pakistan team from April 2016 to July 2019. During this, the Pakistan team won the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
The 53-year-old’s first task will be to announce the squad for Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against Afghanistan starting August 22 in Sri Lanka. Thereafter, he will select the squad for the one-day Asia Cup. Inzamam, who announced the squad for the 2019 World Cup, will also be tasked with announcing the 2023 World Cup squad. The tournament will be held in India from October 5 to November 19.
