Why is Nita Ambani dreaming of bringing the Olympics to India and why are the IOC sessions so important? In fact, the IOC session is the highest decision-making body on the Olympic Games. This includes adopting or revising the Olympic Charter, electing IOC members and office-bearers, and choosing the host city of the Olympics. For example, the discussion of including cricket in the Olympics is in full swing and if a decision is taken to include it in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, then it will be announced in the IOC session in Mumbai itself.

40 years ago in 1983, New Delhi hosted the 86th edition of the IOC Session. Since then, India has longed to host the IOC session, leave alone the Olympics. Many generations of players have been waiting for the Olympics to come to India, but the Olympics could not be held in India. The reason was that there was no private member in the Olympic Committee to raise voice for India. Six years ago, Nita Ambani became the first Indian private woman member of the IOC. His hard work bore fruit and the hosting of the 141st IOC session was handed over to India.
