Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya on Tuesday said he is extremely happy for his mentor and rival skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni after their IPL final loss to Chennai Super Kings and that the win was destined for him.
Pandya said, “I am very happy for him (Dhoni). That’s what destiny had written for him.” Chennai were chasing 171 in 15 overs in the rain-curtailed final in the early hours of Tuesday, needing 10 runs from the last two balls. Dhoni has not yet ruled out playing in the IPL next year but says it will depend on the body condition.
