Dhoni said, ‘I think he should not play Test cricket, should not even think about it. He can play only ICC tournament. He is young and he will prove to be very important for Sri Lankan cricket. The last time he came here, he was very lean, but now he has become a bit stronger. Dhoni won the toss and decided to bowl first. He, however, revealed that he wanted to bat first, but the number of people who agreed with his opinion in the team meeting was less.

He said, ‘I was confused about the decision of the toss, I wanted to bat first but the team decided to bowl first keeping in mind the possibility of rain. If there is any kind of confusion then we sit and talk about it. I thought the wicket would slow down and that was the reason behind it, and even if rain had come, most of the match would have been over. Dhoni said that this victory is important for the team as it will give them some relief.
Rohit said poor performance in every department
On receiving the invitation to bat first in the match, Mumbai Indians scored 139 runs for eight wickets. Chennai Super Kings made 140 runs in 17.4 overs and won the match. When Mumbai captain Rohit was asked the reason for the team’s defeat, he said that we made mistakes in every department. We didn’t bat well, couldn’t put enough runs on the score board to give the bowlers a chance to take the match out. It was a bad day with the bat for us.
