New Delhi: The Delhi Commission for Women has given a notice to the Delhi Police seeking registration of an FIR against those trolling, abusing, threatening to rape and kill cricketer Shubman Gill’s sister. In the last league match of the IPL, Gill and his sister were subjected to constant trolling on social media platforms after Gujarat Titans beat Royal Challengers Bangalore to knock them out of the tournament with the help of a century. Said, ‘These posts written for Shubman Gill’s sister on social media platforms Twitter and Instagram are obscene, threatening and abusive, she is also being threatened with rape and death which is criminal.’ It further said that this is a very serious issue and immediate action needs to be taken on it. Commission chief Swati Maliwal shared the notice on Twitter and asked the Delhi Police to inform about the action taken by May 26.

From there many photos and videos keep uploading on social media. Trollers are continuously making many derogatory and lewd comments on these photos. Some users even targeted Shubman Gill for ending RCB’s campaign in IPL.
