Israel and Ukraine, two countries currently at war, could face each other for a place in next year’s European football championship. Thursday’s play-off draw puts both national teams on the same qualifying path with a potential decider in March.
In the play-off semi-finals, Israel will face Iceland while Ukraine will face Bosnia-Herzegovina. The 12 teams that have made it to the play-offs will play six semi-final matches on March 21, while the three finals are scheduled to be held on March 26.
