By the order of the court of Civil Judge Junior Division Judicial Magistrate Ranjay Kumar, the old two-storey building near Mango Chowk was evacuated on Wednesday. Durga Devi Kailash Agarwal, Pawan Agarwal and others were in illegal occupation of the old building for the last 40 years. In this, after vacating three shops on the ground floor, 10 rooms on the first floor and one room located on the second floor, Executive Engineer Sumit Prakash and Nazir Dheeraj Kumar of Jamshedpur Civil Court sealed them with red ribbon and lock in the presence of the armed forces of Mango police station. Took action. Earlier, when the action started at 11 am on Wednesday, two youths (Rajesh Aggarwal and Subhash Aggarwal) and some women who occupied the building created a ruckus. Then, taking strict action against them, Rajesh Aggarwal and Subhash Aggarwal were beaten on the spot. During this time, three women who stopped the action were also beaten up and all five were caught and sent to the police station. The building was sealed and the key was given to Omprakash Aggarwal, son of landlord Vimla Devi.

The case was going on in the court for 23 years

Vimala Devi and others had a case going on for the last 23 years against Durga Devi and others who had illegally occupied the old two-storey building at Mango Chowk, which had gone to the District Court, High Court and Supreme Court. But Durga Devi did not get relief. In this, an eviction suit was filed in 2003, when the case came in favor of Vimala Devi in ​​the High Court and Supreme Court, an execution suit was filed in the year 2011. In this, on 21 February 2024, the court of Civil Judge Junior Division Ranjay Kumar Court ordered to free the illegal occupation of the house and hand over the house to the landlord Vimla Devi and others.

Community members reached out and appealed for cooperation from the police administration.

On receiving information about the action in Mango, Marwari community and local intelligentsia reached there in the afternoon and made a request. However, the encroachers relented due to the strictness of the police administration and got their belongings removed.
