Born in 1972 in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra and the nursery of cricket in the country, Jatin Paranjpe grew up playing in the same circuit as the legendary Tendulkar. In fact, he even won the Bombay Cricket Association’s Junior Cricketer of the Year award for 1986–87, beating Sachin. Jatin’s Ranji Trophy career began in the 1991–92 season. He made his debut for India in 1998. On the field he is best remembered for his match-winning 23 not out against Pakistan during the Sahara Cup in Toronto, Canada, but misfortune soon struck when Paranjpe never played international cricket again after suffering an ankle injury.
turnover of crores with wife
The middle-order batsman turned cricketer-turned-businessman a few years later with his first business, SportsOne India. The turning point came when Nike signed him up and sent him to Europe. After learning the trade, Paranjpe founded his multi-crore business Khelomore in 2017. Big investors like Dream11 and Ashwin Damera pumped money into the former cricketer’s Mumbai-based startup. Paranjpe is married to Gandhali, sister of Bollywood star Sonali Bendre. She is also involved in Jatin’s company which works as a sports coach and academy aggregator.
