In another match, Korea defeated Thailand 3-0. Asian Games 2023 gold medalist China defeated Malaysia 4-0 thanks to a hat-trick from Jiaqi Zhong. Zhong completed his hat-trick by scoring goals in the 16th, 30th and 51st minutes. Apart from him, Mirong Zou scored a goal on the penalty corner in the 22nd minute. This is China’s second win in four matches while Malaysia’s third defeat in four matches. Let us tell you that India is searching for its first title since 2016. The Indian team has won silver medals in 2013 and 2018.

Korea’s second victory

In the first match of the first day, Korea defeated Thailand 3-0 and achieved its second win in four matches. This is Thailand’s fourth consecutive defeat in four matches. For Korea, Eugene Lee scored in the 24th minute, Cheong Jung scored in the 30th minute and Suyang Park scored in the 32nd minute.

A total of six teams are participating in this tournament being played on the basis of round robin league stage.
