In the fourth match, Pakistan batted first and scored 158 runs on the basis of Rizwan’s unbeaten inning of 90 runs. After Rizwan, it was only Mohammad Nawaz who crossed the 20 mark. In reply, New Zealand team won the match in 18.1 overs at the loss of three wickets. Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips played half-centuries for New Zealand. Mitchell scored 72 runs and Phillips scored 70 runs.

The New Zealand team, which had already won three matches of the five-match series, was in full swing in the fourth T20. After the fourth match, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell was dropped from the fifth T20I against Pakistan to manage his workload.
