Khelo India Youth Games Jharkhand women’s hockey team was given a grand welcome at Ranchi railway station on their return after winning the gold medal. In the hockey match held in Gwalior, Jharkhand’s girls hockey team won the gold medal by defeating Madhya Pradesh 4-3 in the penalty shoot-out in the final. Khelo India Youth Game is organized every year by the Ministry of Sports, Government of India to promote sports in the country.

This year 5th Khelo India Youth Games 2023 was organized in different cities of Madhya Pradesh and hockey match was organized in Gwalior. In whose final match, the women’s hockey team of Jharkhand defeated the host Madhya Pradesh by 4-3 in sudden death after Tribaker. This is the fifth consecutive medal and the first gold medal for the Hockey Jharkhand women’s team in the Khelo India Youth Games.

On returning to Ranchi after winning the gold medal, Hockey Jharkhand General Secretary Vijay Shankar Singh and CEO Rajneesh Kumar welcomed all the players and the coach manager at the railway station.
