Kinetic Green has an association with Honda, which produced the Kinetic Honda range of scooters in the 1990s. The EV maker said that the Zulu electric scooter will be completely manufactured in India and will be sold as a subscription with the battery at a price of ₹69,999.
Features of Kinetic Green Zulu:
Battery and powertrain: The Zulu has a 2.27 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which is mated to a hub electric motor and delivers a maximum power of 2.8 bhp. It claims that Zulu can run for approximately 104 kilometers on a single charge.
Design and Features: The Zulu features apron-mounted LED headlamps and DRL handlebar stalks, giving it a stylish and sporty look.
Dimensions and Weight: The Zulu measures 1,830 mm in length, 715 mm in width and 1,135 mm in height, has a wheelbase of 1,360 mm and ground clearance of 160 mm. Its weight is 93 kg and it can lift weight up to 150 kg.
Charging: The battery can be recharged up to 80 percent within half an hour using a standard charger plugged into a 15-amp socket.
Future Plans:
Optional Battery: The EV maker said that by next year it will introduce an oil-cooled battery option that promises longer range and faster charging.
Sales Target: Kinetic Green aims to sell approximately 40,000 Zulu electric scooters in the next 12 months.
Partnerships: Kinetic Green has partnered with Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini to manufacture electric golf carts in India.
Kinetic Green founder and CEO Saluja Firodia Motwani has said that it will launch the e-Luna and another high-performance electric scooter next year after the Zulu. Upon launch of this new electric scooter, the Kinetic Green will go on sale in 2024 and will be available at over 300 dealerships with a battery subscription option.
