Rinku brought the equation to 29 in 6 balls by hitting a four and a six in the 19th over. Rinku also scored 29 runs which seemed impossible in the last over. Who is Rinku Singh

Born in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rinku was retained by KKR for Rs 55 lakh before IPL 2023. He was first bought by KKR in 2018 for Rs 80 lakh. Even though his first season was not very good, his potential was considered and he was retained for IPL 2019 as well. Rinku worked on his batting with KKR assistant coach Abhishek Nayar at the KKR Academy during the off-season.

BCCI had suspended

Rinku also showed his mettle for Uttar Pradesh in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. He became the third highest run-scorer of the tournament (953 runs in 10 innings) with four centuries to his name. 25-year-old Rinku Singh was part of the Kings XI Punjab team (now Punjab Kings) in 2017. He was suspended for three months by the BCCI for participating in the Ramadan T20 tournament in Abu Dhabi without permission. So far he has played 40 first-class, 50 List-A and 78 T20 matches, scoring 6,016 runs with the help of eight centuries and 41 fifties.
