Kolkata (Uttam Hindu News): Kolkata Knight Riders bowler Harshit Rana has been fined match fee for violating the IPL code of conduct during his team’s Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on March 23. A total fine of 60 percent has been imposed.
Rana committed two Level 1 offenses under Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct. He was fined 10 percent and 50 percent of his match fee for two related offences. Rana admitted both offenses and accepted the match referee’s punishment. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the match referee’s decision is final and binding.

During this match, Harshit Rana came close to Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Mayank Agarwal and gave him a flying kiss after dismissing him. Not only this, after dismissing Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Heinrich Klaasen in the last over of the match, Harshit Rana did an aggressive celebration and signaled him to leave the field.
