Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): In IPL 2023, the match was played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians on Sunday. Players of both the teams also clashed in this match. In fact, in the live match, there was a fight between Kolkata captain Nitish Rana and Mumbai’s Hrithik Shokeen. After this, now the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has imposed a heavy fine on both the players.
Actually, during the match, Hrithik got Nitish caught by Ramandeep Singh. After this, when 29-year-old Nitish started returning to the pavilion, 22-year-old Hrithik spoke a few words. Nitish got angry on this and he gave some reply showing the bat to Hrithik. Later, Mumbai’s stand-in-captain Suryakumar Yadav intervened and stopped the fight between the two. After this Nitish returned to the pavilion.
Now, taking cognizance of the incident, the match referee found both guilty and fined both. Nitish was fined 25 percent of his match fee, while Hrithik was fined 10 percent of his match fee. Nitish was found guilty of breaching Article 2.21 of the Level One Offense of the IPL Code of Conduct. At the same time, Hrithik was found guilty of breaching Article 2.5 of the Level One Offense of the IPL Code of Conduct. In case of a Level-I breach of the IPL Code of Conduct, the decision of the Match Referee is final. Not only this, Suryakumar Yadav was also fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over rate. Earlier, Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson have also been fined Rs 12 lakh for slow over rate.
