New Delhi: Former India middle-order batsman Suresh Raina is currently playing for India Maharaja in the third season of Legends League Cricket (LLC) being held in Doha. The 36-year-old left-handed batsman is looking in great touch as well. He has contributed for the team with both bat and ball and his fielding is also looking tremendous. He also played an innings of 49 for India Maharaja against World Giants.

Meanwhile, when he came for the press conference, he was asked a question, to which everyone started laughing. The player, who retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, was questioned about a comeback in the Indian Premier League. What he said on this was going to tickle everyone. In fact, he was asked that after your performance in Legends League Cricket, everyone wants you to make a comeback in IPL.

Raina gave a funny answer to this. Former Chennai Super Kings cricketer said- I am Suresh Raina. I am not Shahid Afridi. I have taken retirement. Please tell that Afridi had come back after retirement and played cricket for a long time. Please tell that in the match he hit two fours and three sixes in 41 balls. His efforts, however, did not prove enough as Chris Gayle’s 57 helped the Giants win the match by scoring 137 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 18.4 overs.
