LLC Masters: India Maharajas crush Asia Lions by 10 wickets

Doha (Qatar). Skipper Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa stitched a stupendous 159-run opening partnership as India maharajas trounced Asia Lions by 10 wickets in the fourth match of the Legends Cricket League (LLC) Masters on Tuesday night.

Uthappa hit an unbeaten 88 off just 39 balls hitting 11 fours and five sixes, while Gambhir scored an unbeaten 61 off 36 balls with 12 fours. India Maharaja ended the match with 45 balls to spare.

India Maharaja, winning the toss and electing to field first, restricted Asia Lions to 157 for five in 20 overs. For Asia Lions, Upul Taranga scored 69 runs in 48 balls with the help of seven fours and two sixes, Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 32 runs in 27 balls with the help of four fours and a six. They added 73 runs in 8.4 overs in the opening partnership.

Chasing the target, India Maharaja scored 159 runs in 12.3 overs without losing any wickets to seal an easy win.(IANS)
