Lucknow beat Hyderabad, reached fourth place

Hyderabad | Five sixes in the 16th over of the innings changed the map of the match and Lucknow Super Giants beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in the IPL match on Saturday and secured the fourth position in the points table.

Hyderabad made a challenging score of 182 for six in 20 overs thanks to the brilliant innings of Heinrich Klaasen (47) and Abdul Samad (37 not out) and a crucial 58-run partnership for the sixth wicket between them, but this score was not enough to stop Lucknow. Wasn’t enough. Lucknow won by scoring 185 runs for three wickets in 19.2 overs.

Lucknow’s sixth win in 12 matches has moved them to the fourth spot with 13 points, while Hyderabad suffered their seventh loss in 11 matches and are ninth with eight points.

Hyderabad bowlers bowled brilliantly for 15 overs but the way Marcus Stoinis counter-attacked both the slowness of the pitch and the pressure. After Stoinis, Pooran also continued the attack, giving his team an easy two points.

In the 16th over of the innings, Stoinis hit spinner Abhishek Sharma for sixes in the first two balls but he was dismissed on the third ball. Nicholas Puran, who came on the field, hit three sixes in his first three balls and turned the match in favor of Lucknow. Pooran hit three fours and four sixes in his unbeaten 44 off just 13 balls. Stoinis hit two fours and three sixes in 40 runs off 25 balls. Prerak Mankad, playing one end, hit seven fours and two sixes in his unbeaten 64 off 45 balls.

Earlier, Hyderabad won the toss and lost their five wickets for 115 runs while batting first, but after that, Klaasen and Samad played strongly and got the team out of trouble and brought them to a fighting score. But this score could not stop Lucknow.

Klaasen hit three fours and three sixes in his 47 off 29 balls while Samad hit one four and four sixes in his unbeaten 37 off 25 balls. Opener Anmolpreet Singh hit seven fours in 36 runs off 27 balls. Rahul Tripathi scored 20 and captain Aiden Markram scored 28 runs.

Lucknow bowlers made a wonderful comeback after 12 overs. The comeback started with the bowling of Krunal Pandya, where he picked up the wickets of Markram and Phillips in the same over. After this, the fast bowlers also bowled well in the last over. The ball is spinning on the pitch. Along with this, some balls were also seen to be low. Krunal took two wickets for 24 runs in four overs.
