Klaasen hit three fours and three sixes in his 47 off 29 balls while Samad hit one four and four sixes in his unbeaten 37 off 25 balls. Opener Anmolpreet Singh hit seven fours in 36 runs off 27 balls. Rahul Tripathi scored 20 and captain Aiden Markram scored 28 runs.

Lucknow bowlers made a wonderful comeback after 12 overs. The comeback started with the bowling of Krunal Pandya, where he picked up the wickets of Markram and Phillips in the same over.
