Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee Awarded the Mohun Bagan Club on Monday for winning the Indian Super League. After reaching the club, the Chief Minister announced a grant of Rs 50 lakh from the state government for the development of Mohun Bagan. Last year also the Chief Minister had given Rs 50 lakh for the development of Mohanbagan Club.

Mohun Bagan Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee arrived at the felicitation ceremony of the players and staff Said that she had come here last year also. The club is beautifully made. 50 lakh rupees are being given by the state government for feeding sweets to the supporters of the club and for the development of the club.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Mohun Bagan has brightened the face of Bengal in front of the whole country. He said that only Bengal shows the way and only Bengal will show the way. He said: We are proud that a football club from Bengal has been at the top in the country. What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow, Mohun Bagan has done it once again. Mohun Bagan’s victory reaffirms that Bengal cannot be ignored. Bengal shows the way and Bengal will win over the world.

“I believe – khela hoyche, khela hobe, aabar khela hobe (the game happened and the game will happen again),” Ms Banerjee told the cheering crowd. I want you to win again. Even his father was the former president of Kalighat Milan Sangh. His interest in football grew from his parents and brother. The Chief Minister also threw a football from the stage towards the audience. State Sports Minister Arup Biswas and club president Swapan Sadhan Bose were also present in the programme.
