Jeddah. Manchester City reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup with a 3–0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds at King Abdullah Sports City.
Manchester City recorded a big 3-0 win against Urawa in a thrilling semi-final on Tuesday. There was a tough fight between the two teams in the first half, but then CT adopted an aggressive attitude and did not give any chance to the opposing team.
At the whistle, Marius Hoibraten (45+1′), Mateo Kovacic (52′) and Bernardo Silva (59′) scored goals and ensured their team’s victory. On the basis of this strong performance of the team, City made a strong entry in the finals.
The win sets up a global showpiece final against Brazilian Fluminense on Friday, with City looking to follow up last season’s treble success and create a new history of UEFA Super Cup triumphs.
If City win on Friday, they will become the first English team in history to win the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup simultaneously.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola could become the first manager to win the Club World Cup four times. Kovacic could also become the first player to win it with three different clubs, following his successes with Real Madrid and Chelsea.
