Work halted at Hyundai factory in Sriperumbudur

Hyundai Motor India spokesperson said that due to the ongoing cyclonic storm Michong in Chennai and adjoining districts, factory operations (all shifts) at Hyundai Motor India’s Sriperumbudur unit have been suspended till December 4, 2023. However, no response has been received from Foxconn and Pegatron in this regard.
Normal life disrupted due to heavy rain in Tamil Nadu

Heavy rain with strong winds till late night in Chennai
According to media reports, in the last 24 hours till 8.30 am on Monday, Tamil Nadu capital Chennai and its surrounding areas due to cyclonic storm Michong received 29 cm rainfall, while Perungudi in Chennai received 29 cm rainfall, while Avadi in Tiruvallur district received 28 cm rainfall. Mamallapuram in Chengalpet recorded 22 cm rainfall. The latest report from the regional office of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that heavy to very heavy rains along with strong winds continued in four districts of Tamil Nadu till late Monday night.
