New Delhi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the formation of a Cricket Technical Committee (CTC) which will be headed by former captain Misbah-ul-Haq. Apart from Misbah, former captain Inzamam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Hafeez will be members of the committee. The head of the PCB’s domestic cricket department and a representative of the chairman of the Cricket Management Committee will also find a place in the committee.

The Board confirmed that the Cricket Technical Committee will only make recommendations on matters relating to cricket to the Chairman, who will take the final call on them. The committee will also have the power to invite additional cricket experts and will report regularly to the PCB’s management committee.

Indian women’s team needs fielding coach

The Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the post of Indian women’s bowling and fielding coach and is yet to decide on the appointment of the head coach. The Indian women’s team is without a full-time head coach and Nusheen Al Khadeer took over as the interim coach during the series against Bangladesh last month.

According to a BCCI release, the role of both bowling and fielding coach will be for two years and whoever is selected will have to report to the head coach. PTI had reported early last month that the Cricket Advisory Committee recommended the name of domestic batsman Amol Majumdar for the head coach’s role. The Indian women’s team will now participate in the Asian Games to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 23 to October 8.
