Mumbai gave target of 538 runs to Vidarbha

Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): Thanks to Musheer Khan’s brilliant 136-run century and Shreyas Iyer’s explosive 95-run knock, Mumbai team has set a target of 538 runs for Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy final. If we look at the entire history of first-class cricket, the highest target of 536 runs has been successfully chased so far. Ajinkya Rahane started the third day with an excellent four. But after this he could add only 15 runs in his innings and became the victim of left arm spinner Harsh Dubey on a personal score of 73.

Whereas Shreyas Iyer was in the mood for aggressive batting from the beginning. He was trying to complete his century by hitting a sixer but he was caught by the long off fielder on Aditya’s ball. However, by then Mumbai team had achieved a lead of 450 runs.

After this wickets started falling continuously. Yash bowled Hardik Tamore for 5 runs and Yash dismissed Musheer and Shardul Thakur on consecutive balls. However, Shams Mulani played an excellent half-century and took Mumbai’s lead to 538 runs. After Mumbai was all out for 418 runs, Vidarbha’s openers had to bat two overs. However, Dhruv Shorey and Atharva played both those overs comfortably.
