Mumbai Mumbai Indians have announced that Shane Bond’s successful tenure, which started in 2015, has come to an end after a 9-year stint with the team. As the bowling coach for Mumbai Indians, Shane won 4 IPL trophies and had a great career with the team.
Shane Bond said, “I would like to thank the Ambani family for the opportunity to be part of the MI One family for the last nine seasons. It has been an incredible experience with so many great memories on and off the field. I am very I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with and build strong relationships with so many great people, both players and staff. I will miss them all and wish them all the best for the future. Also to the MI platoon for their Thanks for the support.”
Bond took over as the team’s bowling coach in 2015 and became one of the most distinguished and renowned coaches in franchise history, being involved in MI’s title wins in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020.
He also had a stellar stint as the head coach of ‘MI Emirates’ in the inaugural edition of the International League T20. Where his role was to blend the experience of international players with local domestic players.
