Mumbai Indians defeated UP by 42 runs

WPL 2024: Mumbai Indians registered a big win by defeating UP Warriors by 42 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Thursday. The defending champions won the toss and batted first and scored 160 runs. UP needed 161 runs to win this match, but UP could score only 119 runs at the loss of nine wickets. This is the fourth defeat in six matches in the UP league. Whereas Mumbai has won four out of six matches and has reached second place in the points table by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore. The condition of their batting was such that except Deepti, only two other players could reach double digit score in which Grace Harris scored 15 runs and Shweta Sehrawat scored 17 runs. Saika Ishaq was the most successful bowler among the bowlers of Mumbai Indians, taking three wickets for 27 runs. Nate Sciver Brunt took two wickets.
WPL 2024: Amelia Kerr scored 39 runs
Before this, Mumbai Indians also did not have a good start. But Nat Sciver Brunt (45 runs in 31 balls) and captain Harmanpreet Kaur (33 runs in 30 balls) took over the innings by making a partnership of 59 runs in 46 balls for the third wicket.
