Pandya told Star Sports, “As an all-rounder, my workload is double or three times that of everyone else. So for me, all the management, all the pushing and everything happens during the session or my training or my pre-camp season.”

On match days, Pandya sees his role adjust to the circumstances and requirements in a particular situation and backs himself to get the job done. “When the match comes, it is more about what the team needs, and the management side hits it out of the park, and it is a more practical decision of how many overs are required for me. Because if 10 overs are not needed, there is no point in me bowling 10 overs, but if 10 overs are needed, I will bowl.

“I’ve always believed that I give myself a chance to be successful, which is by studying the game and supporting myself because I’ve always believed that when we go in as a believer, when I’m standing there, yes My ten players, my ten brothers are around me, but at the same time I am alone.

He further explained, “While bowling, I have to give my full support because the opposition, the batsmen, they want me to make mistakes. At the same time, as a batsman, yes, there are two people batting, he is fighting with me, but there are also eleven on the field against me, and at the same time, it could be the crowd or whatever.”

“So what I have realized is that no matter what happens, you have to support yourself, you have to believe that you are the best in the world. It does not guarantee you success, but at the same time, it also gives you guidance to work towards success, so support yourself practically.”
