National Sports Awards 2023: Arjuna Award to 26 players, Dronacharya Award to 5 coaches, read the complete list – Dainik Savera Times

This time a total of 26 players will be given Arjun Awards. Indian cricket team’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami received the Arjuna Award.
Shami received Arjun Award:
Shami had performed brilliantly in the ODI World Cup 2023 held at home. He was the bowler taking the most wickets in the tournament. Only Shami has received the Arjun Award in cricket.

Three coaches were given life time awards
Life Time Award was given to golf coach Jaskirat Singh Grewal, Bhaskaran E (Kabaddi, coach), Jayant Kumar Pusilal (table tennis, coach). Vineet Kumar has won silver and bronze medals in the hockey event of the Commonwealth Games. He was also a part of the Indian team that played the Olympics.
He has also been honored with the Dhyanchand Award for Lifetime Achievement. Apart from him, Kabaddi player Kavitha Selvaraj has also won medals in Asian Games and Asian Kabaddi Championship.
Dronacharya given to 5 coaches:
Apart from this, five coaches have been given Dronacharya Awards. Ganesh Prabhakaran (Mallakhamb), Mahavir Saini (Para Athletics), Lalit Kumar (wrestling), RB Ramesh (chess) and Shivendra Singh (hockey) were given the highest coaching honor Dronacharya Award.
It also includes Manjusha Kanwar, Vineet Kumar Sharma and Kavita Selvaraj. Manjusha won medals in badminton events at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and South Asian Games.
