He qualified for the men’s javelin final with a season’s best of 88.77m in his very first throw in the Group A qualifiers on Friday. With this, he also got the ticket for Paris Olympics.
A total of 37 javelin throwers, divided into two groups – A and B, competed in the qualifiers to make it to the 12-member final on Sunday. Whose automatic qualifying mark was 83.00 metres.
The 25-year-old Neeraj Chopra entered the championships as the world’s top-ranked javelin thrower. Everyone is expecting gold from him and Neeraj is also ready to fulfill this dream.
