Nepali cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane convicted of rape

Kathmandu, Circle: Nepalese cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane and Tarunivar have been found guilty in the rape case. Kathmandu District Court issued the order on Friday. Sandipala’s education will be heard in the next hearing; But the court has concluded that the girl concerned was not a minor when the rape took place. The final hearing before Shishir Raj Dhakal would have started from Sunday or Khatlyachi.
On 6 September 2022, Rosie Sandeep Lamichhanevar, a 17-year-old girl, lodged a complaint of rape in the Metropolitan Police Circle. Sandeep would have been playing Caribbean Premier League in West Indies at that time. On 6th October, after reaching Maydeshaat, Rosie had to get stuck at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan Airport.
Kathmandu District Court would have ordered him to be sent to Central Jail. After this he would have approached the High Court for bail. On January 12, the Patna High Court would have ordered Rosie’s execution. Since then Sandeep Jaminawar is out. The victim girl has demanded compensation from him for physical and mental abuse.
