New Delhi. Netflix is launching its games on TV, computer and mobile and has announced the first public test of its cloud-streamed games.
Mike Verdu, VP of Netflix Games, said the streaming giant is launching a limited beta test for select members in Canada and the UK on select TVs starting Monday, and on supported browsers on PC and Mac through Netflix.com over the next few weeks. .
They announced, “Two games will be part of this initial test: OxenFree from Night School Studios, a Netflix game studio, and Moleuse Mining Adventure, a gem-mining arcade game.”
For playing Netflix games on TVs, the company is offering a controller “that’s in our hands most of the day, our phone.”
“Subscribers on PC and Mac can play with keyboard and mouse on netflix.com,” he added.
Games on TV will run on select devices from our initial partners, including: Amazon Fire TV streaming media players, Chromecast with Google TV, LG TVs, Nvidia Shield TV, Roku devices and TVs, Samsung Smart TVs and Walmart ON.
Additional devices will be added continuously, the streaming company said.
The company first launched its mobile gaming offering for customers in November 2021. As of now, the games are only available on iOS and Android.
Netflix subscribers can now play around 70 mobile games.(IANS)
