Nisha won silver, Priya bronze in Asian Championship

Astana (Kazakhstan) (Best Hindu News): Indian wrestler Nisha Dahiya settled for a silver medal after losing to Japan’s Aami Ishii in the final of the Asian Championships on Tuesday. World Championship silver medalist Ishii outclassed the Indian wrestler 10-0 in the final of the 68kg category. Earlier, Nisha came from behind against Feng Zhou of China to make it to the gold medal bout.
Nisha, making her Asian Championship debut, was down 3-6 at one stage in the semifinals but came back to beat Feng 7-6. Earlier, she had defeated Mongolia’s Delgarma Enkhsaikhan in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, Nisha’s compatriot Priya (76kg) defeated Japan’s Mizuki Nagashima 2-1 in the bronze medal bout. Neelam also made it to the bronze medal bout in the 50kg, but suffered an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Japan’s Remina Yoshimoto.
