On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, PM Modi has made a big announcement regarding the 6G plan in India in his speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

Today, the festival of independence is being celebrated all over the country. On this occasion, PM Modi has made a big announcement regarding 6G during his speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort. During this, he said that he is preparing to bring 6G in the country soon.

In his speech, the PM said that India, apart from becoming the third largest economy in the world, offers the most affordable mobile data plans and internet services globally.

He also said that the task force is already in place and India is working towards a rapid transition from 5G to 6G. Also PM said, we have formed 6G task force. The country has achieved the fastest nationwide rollout of 5G. ,

Let us inform that, in the beginning of this year, PM Modi had also released the India 6G vision document. The objective of which is to start R&D in the field of 6G and will help in faster adoption of new technology.

Difference between 5G and 6G

  • 6G is going to be more powerful and faster than 5G. There is much more to 6G than just speed. 6G is going to be unique as it can work on both land and sky. Which is not the case with 5G. It will connect countless machines and gadgets together.
  • In terms of speed, 5G already offers a vast improvement over 4G LTE-Advanced with theoretical speeds of up to 10,000 Mbps.
  • But 6G is set to take things a lot further. According to the 6G vision document released by the Department of Telecom, 6G will provide ultra-low latency with speeds of up to 1 Terabit per second.
