Odisha Masters: Men’s singles title match between Ayush and Satish

Ayush will face compatriot Satish in the final on Sunday. Satish made it to the final by defeating defending champion Kiran George 21-18, 21-14 in 41 minutes. Satish will also play in the final of the Super 100 tournament for the first time. The mixed doubles pair of Tanisha Crasto and Dhruv Kapila has also reached the final. In the semi-finals, they defeated third seeded Danish pair Mads Vestergaard and Christine Busch 21-14, 21-14.
Ayush presented a brilliant example of his spirit of not giving up in the match that lasted 73 minutes. He took an early lead against Farhan but the Indonesian soon went ahead 14-12. Farhan then secured four game points. Ayush saved three of these but he could not stop Farhan from winning the game. Farhan was leading 8-5 at one point in the second game but after this Ayush made a brilliant comeback and took the lead by scoring five consecutive points in the middle.
After this, he made the match lively by winning the second game. Ayush did not have a good start in the deciding game and Farhan was leading 13-9 at one point. However, the Indian player made a good comeback. At one time the score was tied at 19-19 and then at 20-20. In such a situation, Ayush won the match by scoring two consecutive points.
