Old records of viewership broken in IPL 2024 35 crore viewers

Mumbai: A record 35 crore viewers tuned in to watch the first 10 matches of IPL 2024 live on television, which, according to BARC, is more than the data from any previous edition of the league, including the seasons played during the pandemic.
Star Sports, the official broadcaster of IPL 2024, has seen the total viewing time of the tournament increase to 8028 crore minutes, which is 20 per cent more than last year. The match ratings of the 17th season of the tournament have also increased by 22 percent compared to the previous edition. With Rivalry Week running from April 8 to 14, the broadcaster is set to take the buzz around the tournament even higher.
