Olympic athletes allowed to post two minutes on social media

Geneva. Under International Olympic Committee (IOC) guidelines, accredited athletes are allowed to post audio and video recordings of up to two minutes per post of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 and Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024.
The IOC released its official social and digital media guidelines to allow athletes to share their experiences at the Olympic Games on their personal digital accounts, as well as the rights of media rights-holders (MRHs), Xinhua news agency reported. Also protected.
Athletes are able to post recordings from the opening and closing ceremonies, the Olympic Village, competition and training venues, as well as practice fields. The IOC explained that competition venues are open for recording athletes from one hour before the start of the competition and until after they leave the mixing area or doping control station.
The IOC said, all other persons accredited for the Olympic Games Paris 2024, including coaches, technical staff, team members, team officials, volunteers, personnel of National Olympic Committees (NOCs), International Federations (IFs) or Organizing Committees and Other team personnel are involved. Athletes participating in the Games must follow the IOC Social and Digital Media Guidelines for Accredited Individuals, other than athletes participating in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
