He said, ‘It is a matter of great pleasure that women are making a very impressive contribution to our medal tally.’ India gave its best ever performance in the Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China in 2023, winning a total of 107 medals including 28 gold, 38 silver and 41 bronze medals.
Young generation got inspiration to join sports
Indian para players also performed brilliantly and won a total of 111 medals including 29 gold, 31 silver and 51 bronze medals in the Hangzhou Para Asian Games. President Murmu said that this excellent performance of the players has inspired children to join various sports. He said, ‘The success of our best players has inspired children to participate in various sports, which has greatly increased their confidence.

The President said that I am confident that our players, full of new confidence, will perform even better in the upcoming Paris Olympics. Paris Olympics will be organized from 26 July to 11 August this year.
