PAK vs AFG: Pakistani team showed strength before Asia Cup, beat Afghanistan 3-0 in ODI series

Mujeeb ur Rehman could not win

Chasing the target of 269 runs against Pakistan, the top order of the Afghanistan team completely failed. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who scored 151 runs in the second ODI, was able to score only 5 runs. On the other hand, Ibrahim Zadran could not even open his account. However, in the lower order, Mujeeb ur Rehman batted fast.

Rahman gave 64 runs in 37 balls. During this, he hit five fours and as many sixes. Rahman completed his fifty in just 26 balls. He has also become the fastest half-century player for Afghanistan in ODIs.

Apart from Mujeeb, Shaheedullah Kamal scored 37 and Riyaz Hasan scored 34 runs. On the other hand, Farid Ahmed Malik contributed 17 runs and Rashid Khan contributed only 16 runs, due to which Afghanistan’s team lagged behind Pakistan.

Babar and Rizwan scored half-centuries for Pakistan

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan played half-century innings for Pakistan in batting. Babar got out after scoring 60 runs in 86 balls while Rizwan scored 67 runs in 79 balls. Apart from this, Agha Salman scored 38 and Mohammad Nawaz also scored 30 runs. Fakhar Zaman contributed 27 runs in the top order while Imam-ul-Haq could only score 13 runs.
