Pakistan Cricket Board canceled the central contract of Haris Rauf, he was missing from Australia series.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Due to his withdrawal from the recent Test series against Australia, his star fast bowler Haris Rauf Disciplinary action has been taken against. The board canceled his central contract on Thursday. Not only this, the board has also said that Haris will not be issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) till June 20, 2024 to play in the foreign league. PCB said that the board had given Haris a personal hearing on January 30, but the board was not satisfied with his reply.
NOC will not be received
PCB said that refusing to be a part of Pakistan’s Test team in the absence of any medical report or valid reason is a violation of the central contract. Due to this violation, the central contract of Haris Rauf has been canceled after a thorough hearing process conducted by the PCB committee. Also, they will not be given NOC (No Objection Certificate) to play in any foreign league till June 30, 2024.
Haris Rauf was in B category
Haris Rauf comes in Category B of PCB’s central contract. Players falling in this category are paid a monthly salary of around Rs 4.6 lakh in addition to match fees, allowances and other eligible bonuses. The Pakistani team toured Australia in December and January for three Test matches. This tour started on December 18, 2023, and ended on January 7, 2024. Pakistan had lost all three tests.
Was seen playing in Big Bash League
Chief selector Wahab Riaz had said in a press conference before the Australia tour last December that Haris had initially made himself available for the Test, then withdrew his name citing work management and fitness issues. While the team was busy in three Test matches against Australia, Haris was seen playing in the Big Bash League.
