Pakistan stopped Afghanistan from clean sweep by winning the last T20

Sharjah | An all-round performance from stand-in captain Shadab Khan helped Pakistan prevent a clean sweep by Afghanistan, winning the third and final T20I comfortably by 66 runs on Monday.
It was a consolation win for Pakistan as Afghanistan have already clinched the series after winning the first two matches by six and seven wickets respectively.
Shadab was awarded the player of the match award for his tremendous all-round performance in the third match. He scored an important 28 runs in 17 balls, while in bowling he took three wickets for just 13 runs in four overs.
Pakistan made a strong score of 182 runs for seven wickets when invited to bat first. Young opener Sam Ayub scored 49 runs in 40 balls and Shadab scored 28 and Iftikhar Ahmed scored 31 runs.
Chasing the target, Afghanistan could not repeat the success of the first two matches and were bundled out for 116 runs in 18.4 overs.
For Pakistan, young fast bowler Ehsanullah and leg-spinner Shadab took three wickets each. Shadab also became the first bowler from Pakistan to complete 100 wickets in the shortest format of the game.(IANS)
