In PSL, franchisees pay 70% of the money before the tournament.
The PSL franchisees have talked to the Pakistan Cricket Board about this. The owners have told the management that this is causing huge losses. In fact, franchises pay players 70% before participating in the tournament, while 30% is paid after the tournament is over. The Pakistani rupee going into the trough has a direct impact on the cricket industry. As a result the cost of PSL is increasing for the franchisees.
In which category the players get how much money
In the PSL, the fees for platinum cricketers range from $170,000 to $130,000, diamond players from $85,000 to $60,000, gold players from $50,000 to $40,000, silver players from $25,000 to $15,000, while emerging players get $7,000.
One decision of PCB ruined it!
In 2021, except for foreign cricketers and production, other payments were made in rupees, but last year the PCB again decided to make all payments in dollars. Now this decision of Pakistan Cricket Board is proving to be a big problem for the franchisees. Now the thing to be seen is whether the PCB changes in this matter and if it does, will the players accept it.
