Pakistan will boycott the Asia Cup! The tournament is being shifted to Sri Lanka

islamabad (Best Hindu News): Pakistan Cricket Board officials have opposed the shifting of this year’s Asia Cup to Sri Lanka. Officials say that if the Asian Cricket Council does not accept their proposal, they will boycott this Asian tournament. PCB chief Najam Sethi met ACC officials in Dubai on Tuesday and objected to the move to shift the Asia Cup to Sri Lanka instead of the UAE.

A PCB official said that Sethi has insisted that the ACC should accept Pakistan’s revised hybrid model proposal for the Asia Cup 2023 and if the majority members want it to be held elsewhere, it should be shifted to 2018 and 2022. Like to be held in UAE. Sethi has also told the ACC about the concern of the BCCI, in which the BCCI has mentioned the heat of UAE.

The BCCI has told the ACC that it will be too hot to play in the UAE in September, but Sethi is saying this today, having already got their IPL held in the UAE from September to November 2020. As such, Sethi has offered the ACC a new hybrid model schedule and it is an offer they should no longer refuse. The PCB is also surprised that the Sri Lanka Cricket Board is supporting the BCCI from behind.

Let us tell you that if Pakistan boycotts the Asia Cup 2023, then the UAE team can be seen playing the tournament. In this way, teams from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal and UAE will be part of the Asian tournament.
