Mumbai Indians have to play against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) today at their home ground Wankhede Stadium. Even before this big match, a case of fraud of crores of rupees from Hardik and his brother Krunal Pandya has come to light. According to the report, both these legendary players were selected and appointed by none other than their step brother Vaibhav Pandya.
Hardik-Krunal cheated of Rs 4.3 crore
According to media reports, Vaibhav has been accused of extorting Rs 4.3 crore from Hardik and Krunal through a partnership firm. On the complaint of Hardik and Krunal, the Economic Offenses Wing of Mumbai Police has registered a case and arrested Vaibhav. A case has been registered against Vaibhav on charges of cheating and forgery and action has been taken against him under this.
What is the matter?
Hardik, Krunal and Vaibhav jointly started the polymer business three years ago. Hardik and Krunal had 40-40 percent stake in it, while their step brother Vaibhav was a 20 percent shareholder and he was also responsible for handling the day-to-day functioning of the business. According to the partnership agreement, it was decided that the profit would be divided among the three. But the allegation is that Vaibhav started another similar business without informing Hardik and Krunal, which is a violation of the partnership agreement. The result was a decline in the profits of the original business between these three, due to which they suffered a loss of about Rs 3 crore. Vaibhav has also been accused of secretly increasing his profit share from 20 percent to 33.3 percent, which had a financial impact on Hardik and Krunal. When the Pandya brothers came to know about this, they complained to the police and the matter moved forward. However, till now no statement has come out from either Hardik or Krunal regarding this matter.
