MINI Charged Edition: German automaker BMW Group has launched a new Mini Charged model based on the all-electric Mini 3-door Cooper SE in India with a new update to its electric vehicle. The new Mini Charged model will come as a completely built unit (CBU) in the country. The biggest thing is that only 20 units of this electric car of the luxury car manufacturer will be sold in India. The all-new limited edition has been priced at Rs 55 lakh, ex-showroom India. The new offering comes with cosmetic upgrades, which sets it apart from the standard variant. There have been some upgrades in comparison to the standard variant.
Mini Colors and Design
The Mini Charged Edition has been brought in a new Chilli Red color and multi-tone roof finished in white. It gets Aspen White exterior trim and the headlamp and taillight rings, door handles and logo are in the same colour. It gets Frozen Red stripes and energetic yellow highlights on the bonnet and doors and the air inlet on the bonnet is chrome finished. This limited edition car gets 17 inch power spoke alloy wheels.
Mini’s Motor and Range
This limited edition Mini gets the familiar 135 kW electric motor tuned for 181 Bhp power and 270 Nm peak torque. The electric hatchback can do 0-100 kmph in 7.3 seconds and gets a 32.6 kWh battery pack, which promises a range of 270 km on a single charge.

MINI India will also offer customers one-time installation of MINI Smart Wallbox charger and portable DC charging cable with the new Charged Edition. The company claims 0 to 80 percent charging time in 36 minutes through a 50 kW DC fast charger. It runs for 2 hours 30 minutes with 11 KW AC charger and 9 hours 43 minutes with 2.3 KW AC charger.
Mini Electric Key Look
The Mini Charged edition gets a new Chilli Red color scheme with a white colored multi-tone roof. The car gets Aspen White exterior trim, which brings white colored highlights on the headlamp and taillight rings, door handles, logo and tailgate handle. The car gets red sports stripes and energetic yellow highlights on the bonnet, doors and boot while the air inlets on the bonnet are finished in chrome. The limited edition rides on 17-inch power-spoke alloy wheels with energetic yellow highlights for a unique look.
Mini’s Interior
The Mini Charged Edition has been upgraded with leatherette Carbon Black upholstery in the cabin. The steering wheel gets more functions with the reduction in the number of control surfaces. It is covered in Nappa leather. It houses a 5-inch MID unit with a black panel, while the infotainment is controlled by a centrally placed 8.8-inch touchscreen unit. The Charged Edition gets energetic yellow accents on the start/stop toggle switch, gear lever and badging on the door sills to differentiate itself.
Mini Features
The Mini Charged Edition comes with in-built navigation, Apple CarPlay, Harman Kardon speaker system, wireless charging and more. Two driving modes Sport and Green are available in the electric car. Driver assistance systems include cruise control, park distance control, rear view camera and TPMS. The Mini Charged edition will get a standard warranty of 2 years or unlimited kilometers which can be extended up to five years. The battery pack comes with a warranty of 8 years or 100,000 kms as standard. BMW has fast charging stations across 35 cities of its dealer network in the country.
