PKL 10: Akash Shindes Super 10, Puneri Paltan beats Telugu Titans by 31 runs

Patna. Puneri Paltan returned to winning ways and defeated Telugu Titans 60-29 in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season 10 match at the Patliputra Indoor Stadium here on Tuesday and reached the top of the table.

Akash Shinde (11 raid points), Mohammadreza Chianeh Shadlaoui (7 points) and Abinesh Nadarajan (5 tackle points) were the key players in Puneri Paltan’s comprehensive win. Puneri Paltan came into the game on the back of two consecutive matches and were keen to get all the points available from this game. They wasted no time in getting started as they took the lead from the very first raid and needed only 6 minutes to go all-out and take an 11-2 lead.

Puneri Paltan’s three-man raiding unit of Aslam Inamdar, Mohit Goyat and Akash ensured that their team maintained complete control of the match and got them their second all-out in the 14th minute.

Telugu Titans hardly put up a fight as they trailed by 16 points at 22-6. It got worse for them, as they did not score a single point in the remaining part of the first half and Puneri Paltan went into the break with a huge lead of 29-6.

Puneri Paltan scored an all-out within a minute of the restart and took a huge lead of 25 runs. Telugu Titans captain Pawan Sehrawat, who was off the mat for 10 minutes in the first half, suffered a poor performance as he was not able to save his team. Akash produced a brilliant 3-point super raid that limited the opposition to 3 men and eventually led to another all-out in the 28th minute.

The scoreline was 45-11 in favor of Puneri Paltan, with Abinesh Nadarajan and Shadlaoui both completing high 5s.

Telugu Titans performed well in the last 5 minutes of the game as Sanjeevi came out with a super raid and bowled an all-out, but it did not make any difference to the outcome of the match and Puneri Paltan won by 31 runs.
