Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News):In the Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 played at Dome by NSCI, Mumbai, Gujarat Giants defeated Telugu Titans 37-30 and secured second position in the points table. Giants defender Deepak Singh scored an impressive nine tackle points to help his team register a comeback win. Meanwhile, Titans are at the bottom of the table and are now on a four-match losing streak.
Sehrawat started the game, giving his team the lead by hitting a super raid as soon as the whistle blew. There was a long back-and-forth between the two teams with raids being conducted at regular intervals. Titans’ raiding was largely dependent on Sehrawat and true to his form, he scored more than half of his team’s raid points in the first half.
While the Giants’ formidable defense kept the Titans on their toes, the Titans kept them alive in the final five minutes of the half. Facing an all-out, Titans raider S. Sanjeevi took advantage of a series of defensive errors by the Giants to stay in the game. From there he made three super tackles in quick succession, not only preventing an all-out but also maintaining the lead at the break.
Despite first half resistance it didn’t take long for the Giants to get their first all-out of the game, as the Titans cut their lead to one point. The lead didn’t last long, as the Giants stepped up their gameplay and the Titans faltered. Too many defensive errors and their inability to revive Sehrawat caused them to suffer a second all-out with less than a quarter of the game played.
Once taking the lead, the Giants did not loosen their grip as they staged a spectacular comeback and deservedly won.
