Player got heart attack while taking runs during cricket match, died on pitch

Noida (Uttam Hindu News): An engineer playing cricket died on Sunday at the ground located in Sector-135 of the Expressway Kotwali area. As soon as he ran to run, he became unconscious and fell on the ground. The police have conducted postmortem of the body and handed it over to the relatives. Kotwali in-charge Sarita Malik said that 36-year-old Vikas, originally from Uttarakhand, was working as an engineer in a company in Noida. On Sunday, he was playing a cricket match with his friends at the cricket ground of Sector-135.

Meanwhile, Vikas, who was running to take a run, suddenly fell unconscious. Fellow players took him to Jaypee Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. Informed this to relatives. Vikas’s relatives and friends were shocked by the sudden death of Vikas while playing. The body was sent for postmortem to know the cause of death. Kotwali in-charge said that the post-mortem report stated that death was due to heart failure. The relative told the police that Vikas had suffered from corona in the past. At present, Vikas’s body has been handed over to his relatives.
